   Completely refurbished / rebuilt and officially re-opened in June 2000, this hotel is as impeccable as it is pristine & new. The grounds play host to an amazing number of butterflies (as you would expect, as it owns and is in the grounds of the Koh Samui Butterfly Garden) and beautiful birds, that gives it such a graceful, peaceful atmosphere. The rooms have been well designed and furnished with the (deluxe especially) bathrooms a Mediterranean stone-washed style.    The beach is of fine white sand, with some granite boulders / outcrops, which make some interesting rock pools. The beach and inner waters are also protected by a sand-bank, making an ideal playground for the young at heart. But, venture out along / past the boat channel, and you will find a pretty impressive snorkelling area. At night, the hotel flood lights the sandy beach just in front of the restaurant and pool. Perfect for a midnight dip or walk!    If food is important to you, then the beachfront restaurant at Central Samui Village will delight you. When you enter, walk over to the bar where they have their fresh fish display, and select the one that is just right for you. Then, sit down, take in the air and, if you want, allow the band to come and serenade you both with your own special tunes. Plus, if you want a change, there are ample restaurants nearby, including a beachfront inn restaurant next door.    If you want to get about, the excellent tour desk and beach-side water-sports desk will have plenty of options for you. Perhaps a trip to one of the spectacular islands a few miles off the coast. Or a trip into town / to a local temple perhaps. Whatever you choose, be assured you will do it at your own, although reduced pace!    And finally, at Central Samui Village, the onus is on the guest. From the traditional Thai massage pavilion, to the hillside cafe and pool-side service. Here you will know who is number one for sure.    |
