Without a doubt, the one and only luxury 4 star hotel in this area, and what a hotel. Absolutely wonderful architecture and decor ensures this hotel blends in with, rather than dominates such an area of rare natural beauty and importance. So for those people who recognise the need to explore this area, which has become daubed "The Switzerland of Thailand", but really do not want to give up their all important creature comforts, then there really is not much choice! Even the respected "Rough Guide" travel book reports "Finally, a luxury hotel in the Imperial group on the southern edge of town has latched onto the area's meteoric development, offering all the international-standard facilities."
