The original five star Pattaya hotel, which means it had first choice regarding grounds location (and it shows). This is an absolutely wonderful, even breathtaking institution with extremely good restaurants and excellent water-sports provision. The "Lonely Planet" Travel Guide says "Among the reigning monarchs of Pattaya luxury hotels is the 500 bedroom Dusit Resort Pattaya at the northern end of Hat Pattaya, with two pools, tennis and squash courts, a health centre, a semi-private beach-front and exceptional dim sum in the rooftop restaurant." While "Rough Guide" says it "has an excellent reputation for high-quality service and facilities". Which means you are able to live in the lap of luxury, be waited upon hand and foot, even while you are on the beach and, should you want to actually move, find an incredible range of dining and recreational activities laid on for you. And that is before you consider heading into town. Which, unlike other 5 star hotels, is out of site and out of mind when it should be, yet only a few minutes away when you need it. If you want ultimate quality, haute cuisine, and perhaps the odd boating or other water based adventure (and right from your hotel beach), this really is your only choice in Pattaya.
