   This is an outstanding hotel and particularly well located. Chaweng is recognised as being the best beach on Samui, but this extends past the wonderful quality of the shoreline. If you walk along the beach (as well you might) for 15 minutes, you will walk past the famous array of Chaweng Beach-side restaurants, that set up "shop" every night. Here you will be able to inspect the morning's catch in their display cabinets before deciding on which fish to eat (and which restaurant to eat at). Happy hours, special catches of the day and simple competition make this a wonderful experience at a remarkably low price. Take a few steps inland from there, and you will be amongst the shops, bars and entertainment that make Chaweng the tourist capital of Samui.   But dining, shopping and entertainment also mean noise. Which is why Chaweng Resort is perfect. An easy walk to the centre (or catch a "Songthaew", they cost around 80 baht for 2 each way and run quite late), yet away from the hustle and bustle when you need it most. Ps, there are some very good shops and restaurants on the road outside the hotel too! |
