Absolutely the perfect "best of both worlds" luxury beach front hotel. The "Rough Guide" travel book says "For sheer natural beauty, none of the other beaches can match CHAWENG, with its broad, gently sloping strip of white sand sandwiched between the limpid blue sea and a line of palm trees." But this is a 6 km stretch of beach, and some parts are definitely better than others, or maybe we should say noisier than others. That's why this exclusive / prime bay area is so important if you want to enjoy yourself in town, but would prefer to let others take the rough with the smooth! Not that the Imperial is low on entertainment, because it most certainly is not. With a full water sports program and two of the very best swimming pools on the island, you certainly wont get bored unless, of course, you want to. This is a medium sized 4 star hotel with a large reputation and following. We would therefore sincerely recommend you make early reservations to be sure of a room.
